Advertising integrations: TikTok and Meta
eComCockpit, operated by Solutionoir SMC-Private Limited, lets a store owner connect the TikTok for Business and Meta (Facebook) ad accounts they already run, so ad spend sits next to the store’s own orders. Cash-on-delivery sellers lose many orders to refusals and returns, so the number that matters is the cost per delivered order, not per click. The Portal shows it per campaign and per store.
Who uses it
Merchants who sell through Shopify and run their operations in eComCockpit at hq.ecomcockpit.app: Solutionoir’s own stores and independent store owners. Each business connects its own ad accounts with its own TikTok or Meta login. Nobody can connect an ad account they cannot already manage on TikTok or Meta.
How a store connects TikTok
- In the Portal, an owner opens Settings → Integrations → TikTok and presses Connect TikTok.
- TikTok’s own authorization page opens. The owner signs in to TikTok for Business, reviews the permission list and approves the ad accounts to share.
- TikTok sends the owner back to
https://hq.ecomcockpit.app/api/ads/tiktok/callback. Our server exchanges the one-time code for an access token and stores it encrypted. - The owner picks which ad account belongs to which store. Spend and results appear on the Ads and Overview pages, refreshed during the day and corrected nightly.
A TikTok account holder (for example a creator whose posts a store promotes) is connected the same way through https://hq.ecomcockpit.app/api/ads/tiktok/account-callback.
What we read
- The ad accounts the owner authorized: name, currency, time zone, status and balance.
- Campaigns, ad groups and ads: names, status, budgets and schedule.
- Daily reporting per campaign, ad group and ad: spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and cost per result.
- Creatives, audiences, pixels and catalogs linked to those accounts, so the owner sees what each campaign uses.
- Business Center details and account transactions, to match prepaid top-ups with spend in the store’s books.
What we change, and only with approval
The Portal can suggest changes, for example pausing an ad whose orders are mostly returned, raising the budget of a campaign that delivers profitably, or creating a new ad from a product. Nothing is created, edited or paused on TikTok or Meta until an owner of that business presses Approve in the Portal. Every approved change is recorded with who approved it, when, and what changed. We never move money between accounts and never change payment methods.
We also send purchase events for orders placed through the store’s cash-on-delivery form to the store’s own pixel (TikTok Events API, Meta Conversions API), with the phone number and email hashed, so the store’s campaigns can optimise for real orders. Each store switches this on separately.
Who can see the data
Only the business that connected the account, and only its members whose role allows ad reporting. Businesses never see each other’s ad data. Solutionoir staff look at a business’s connection only to fix a problem that business reported.
What we never do
- We do not sell TikTok or Meta data, share it with other businesses or use it to advertise.
- We do not read personal TikTok or Facebook profiles, messages, followers or videos.
- We do not keep data from accounts the owner did not authorize.
Security
Access tokens are encrypted and stored only on our servers in Singapore (Google Cloud and Supabase); they never reach the browser. All connections use HTTPS. Data is separated per business with row-level security.
Disconnecting and deleting
An owner can press Disconnect in Settings → Integrations at any time, or remove eComCockpit from the authorized apps in TikTok for Business or Facebook settings. We then stop reading immediately and delete the stored token. To delete the ad data we already stored, see Data deletion.
